Hi

was the Aqualung cd made as a MFSL?

Also, on the standard CD which sounds better, the original or the remastered one?

Thanks for the help

They are hard to find too. Such great releases just shouldn't be this expensive and hard to find.

I agree

No, there is no MFSL version of Aqualung, but they did remaster several other Jethro Tull albums. Check here for a list. The DCC version is excellent, by the way. I usually have to resort to fairly desperate measures to get out-of-print MFSL and DCC recordings...

If you wantched the Steve's conference, you should be aware that the DCC version has a portion of the track Aqualung, that was remastered from a Tower Records, copy as the master tape was damaged...Not sure if I would ever buy such copy after knowing that....

There is an MFSL version of Aqualung but it was on vinyl I believe. There is also the recent Classic Records reissue. The best version IMHO is the DCC version remastered by Steve Hoffman.

There was a version on VINYL.

The DCC is the only CD cut from the original master tape. It's the only game in town, the remaster is compressed and no-noised, the original isn't great, either and it's not a great recording to begin with.
