What is to be less is the basic tone of 120 to 350 Hertz .

But since the manufacturers cannot conjure , …
Optimal would of course be more or the same amount Bass ,
faster and more control and less upper Bass , lower mids tone ,
But maybe that's exactly the bass you described.

Additionally we have to keep in mind what changed the sound, if the more conpact bass is a result of New pads, that could be adjusted with th e leather pads of the Empyrean again.

Right now, all speculation of course

Biggest question for me is if they will retain their ease to drive. That is a hinge part of their appeal for me, no other flagship that I know of can be driven so easily...

Welp, I was so wrong in my predictions. Too bad I bought the Empy new a month ago and now they are upgrading it. Wonder if there's a chance to upgrade the drivers to a current model Empyrean with the Elite ones.

I’ve been working with a dealer in Canada to secure a Jet Black. In speaking with him yesterday the Empyrean Elite price is $3999 USD and comes standard with the Meze PCUHD upgrade cable with your choice of the three termination options.

$4000 is a good value, if it can compare with the top dogs. Maybe Utopia and D800 Pro, if not Abyss TC or Susvara.
