Just got mine yesterday after a long wait. These are exactly what I was looking for.. the Arya compliment them well and I like them more than I did the LCD-4.

Looks like a sumo next to a (tall) ninja.

Passing 200 hours of play time on my empys. Changes are very big when comparing to fresh unit.
I'm still waiting for more hours to pass, will write full review/impressions in couple of weeks.
Are the changes for the better or worse?

Congrats in advance. :)

I'm torn between the Empy, Heddphone, Rad-0 and LSA HP-1 now. :deadhorse:

Edit:
Forgot to add the Klipsch HP-3. ^^
That's a lot of options. Just number them 1-5 and roll a 6-sided die. If you get a 6 you get nothing :p

Heddphone/Rad-0 - Too heavy and cumbersome.

I think Meze Empyreans hands down have class leading comfort/build quality. I will never purchase a set of poorly designed HPs that are a brick to wear, no matter how good they sound (i.e. AUDEZE LCD-3/4).

Appreciate your opinion.
But i've to figure it out by myself.
All that counts, for me, is the sound. :L3000:

I don't care about weight for home listening and don't want to take them with me out of home.

It's the journey to find the one that suits my needs "the most".
Maybe a neverending one, who knows. ^^

Glad you found your answer. Like you said, all that counts is your preference and getting what YOU want. :gs1000smile:

Superior sound doesn't mean much to me, if I can't enjoy extended sessions due to discomfort (weight in this case). The whole point for me is to enjoy the music I listen to in peace, not admire sonic capabilities at the expense of physical distractions/discomfort.

Enjoy the never ending journey!

My Empyreans finally arrived! Originally ordered on January 31st. I will be picking them up tomorrow. Can't wait.

It took over 4 months? Where in the world did you order it from?

For me definitely for better. If you are looking for better clarity and tamed down bass - you will be also happy.

When I got to 200 hours a few days ago noticed the same thing. Now I am not sure if I need a silver cable and seem content with the standard cable.
