It isn’t greedy. It’s supply and demand even though I agree with you.
As long as people are willing to fork out the big bucks, prices will continue to stay the same or rise.
There are a few out there that offer great products at a reasonable price like Schiit,
Mr. Speakers with their new Aeon and of course the king of the hill with regard to price versus performance.....Meze.
Fingers crossed the business model stays intact.

I hear you. I've owned the Aeon closed, Opposition PM-3 and the Questyle QP1R in the past and these products all offered great price vs performance.

Yer fingers crossed for this one :smile_phones:

No, it's greed. :smirk:
LOL. I'm trying to stay positive man!
Bottom line is as long as these new big-boy toys keep coming out and we have to be the first kids on the block to get it, it'll be a long time before we see things settle down "across the board"
I'm still going to stay true to my belief that Meze will continue down the road of user friendly retails offering us a quality product at the same time. But no one has ever labeled me smart either as long as I continue to believe in Peter Pan, Santa Clause, .........

Meze started this thread and are surely reading our comments...
Depending on pricing (and of course assuming sound is as great as we expect) - it could be a huge hit, or a disappointing flop for them. I truly hope the former

The new Meze headphones appear in Jude's preview video for CanJam NYC...
Jude is very excited, but also mentioned he believes price would be over $3,000 (!)
Oh well... I will still audition them, same as the $50,000 Sennheisers

OH well, very interesting but barring winning the lottery simply out of my price range. I still look forward to reading about them though and will hopefully be able hear a pair some day.

Check out the newest Head-Fi video; There is a lil' someth'n someth'n in there that you all would be interested in! Skip to 26:17 if you are impatient (24:00 if you love iFi!). Skip to 27:40 to crush your dreams. 32:23 is what got me excited!

At least, now we know, a nice-looking flagship to finally milk the cows, sorry the customers.
With a nice partnership and a fancy-looking Rinari Website.
Can't wait for the science part, although it usually sorely lacks tangible data. :D
