Yes, that is correct, they're still some time away from being finished.

The 99 Classics with balanced cables is no joking matter!! [IMG]

    Hello @navygator

Yes, the 99 Neo will come with the same new pads as the 99 Classics

As for the InnerFidelity measurements, we did take them into account.

@MezeTeam  - how do I know for sure whether I have the original (small) pads, or the new (larger) ones?
    Got my 99C today...

You should take the image of the box into account, as well as the depth of the pads.

You can find some pictures in my review, if yours look similar, you should have the large ones [IMG]

Meze Team any rough estimate when the balanced cables will be ready for shipping? I'm planning on getting the new larger pads for my classics, thought i'd save on shipping if the cables are not too far from the finished product.

    Cheers.

    Hey @DShim

There is no set date for the balanced cables yet but you should expect them in May. We will release an official statement about the cables on all threads for everybody to know. We will also send out a newsletter to all the subscribers on our website.

I'm pretty sure this will come in handy for 99 Classics owners as well!

If you bought them new you got the bigger pads. The smaller pads have not been made for quite some time. Hell I bought a demo pair and got the bigger pads. Of course you could always measure them to make absolutely sure. [IMG]

I'm waiting for these, but not very patiently, lol. I'd be very happy if there were both 2.5mm and XLR options.

    Hey,

thanks to everyone for giving us great Impressions of these Headphones, because of you i was able to narrow my wishlist down to 2 of them.
I am interested, in a mobile closed one, with a fun sounding but still detailed character.

Since i cant find anywhere a comparison, has anybody heard the Meze 99 Classics against the B&O H6?
Or got both of them and can state the differences?

    Thanks a lot!

These two are entirely different headphones. I demoed B&O H6 and B&W P7 wireless side by side. H6 has a very detailed presentation with a very big soundstage for a closed headphone. The instrument separation is awesome.
The bass is definitely there, but not overpowering. ( would say lacking at times to my taste. Bumping up the volume for bass causes ear fatigue. ). Reasonably easy to drive. This is the v2 version.
The P7 has a more narrow presentation with excellent controlled bass. The instrument separation is not as great. A bit congested.
I could not decide on either and wanted something right in between. And that is where the 99 classics come.
I would suggest you listen to both. Someday, I might get a H6 to compliment the 99 classics.
