) but i was slouching so be next still whipped a bit).. but man.. her hood was all smashed in and everything!!! but all that happend to my car was the bumpre was broke.. it sags about 4 inches.. but it's not bent inward.. and i looked under the car as much as i could without getting dirty and saw no frame damage.. anyway.. her insurance company told me to go to this service king and they'd get me fixed right up (that's a summary of a 30 min. conversation)... my mom said that i may experience pain after about 2 weeks.. but whatever.. i guess my neck is a little sore.. but.. i'm cool

Don't worry, I was in my mom's CLK320 and I rear ended someone before. It was scary mainly because the car was so expensive, but she ended up only having to pay like 200$ of a 1500$ repair because of insurance. Of course, or insurance went up a few dollars the next month, but she was happy I wasn't hurt and I'm kinda glad I've experienced a crash so I am super careful nowadays.

I would recommend that you go see a doctor. Neck injuries are nothing to fool around with. If there is any damage it can lead to problems later in life even if things appear OK now. All of the expenses should be covered by insurance.

Also, get an estimate from a body shop other than the one the lady's insurance company recommended.

Oh, and whose insurnace company did you speak to? The person who hit you or the person who cut you off?

Sorry to hear about your crash. That stinks. Well, as your title promised, all were entertained. Congradulations.

Still, please take that guy's advice and go to the doc at least to make sure you're OK. You want to make sure your neck keeps working (you only get one). Take care and watch out for big a** red cars.

You know, we're all human. It could have been the other way around. It could have been a lot worse than it was. Just be happy that (a): you're OK and (b): they're OK. Cars, as much as we love them, come secondary to human life, regardless of whose fault and how "stupid" they were.

I got into a car accident a little over a week ago, as well. While it was her fault, just recognizing that it could have been a lot worse, and that we were both okay, was pretty much enough for me. Had I seen her car coming a split, split second later, both our cars would have been totalled, and there would probably be more injuries involved.

Remember, crap happens, whether you like it or not. It could easily have been the other way around, and you could have been the driver behind a car that had to hit the brakes. Give everyone a break, and just be glad you're in one piece, and still have the ability to post to Head-Fi.

so, were you speeding? was the music booming? why didn't you know that the person behind you was following too closely? do you practice the Smith System of driving?

man.. i don't wanna pay no doc!!

Who are you going to sue? Do you mean the lady that pulled out in front of you?
Why didn't you just drive around her? Was she stopped? Why did you stop? I guess the pain in your neck must not be too bad, or you would consider being more careful.

It's people with attitudes like yours that make me nervous. Wanting to sue somebody for anything little thing.

yeah, MERTON, you should listen to screwdriver. it's almost like you're trying to be funny, but are coming off as being a stupid wierdo with dumb jokes...and you continue to use these wierd jokes because you don't realize yourself how stupid they sound. this is my opinions anyways. i would imagine many others see it this way too. just look at how many people responded to your "who hates MERTON pole."

I've come to the conclusion that merton is really nothing more then an attention whore, nearly as bad as all the camwhores that run around rampant on the internet now a days. Everyday he seems create more and more topics in here, just to get attention and have people respond to his threads, if the events are factual or not, I do not know, but look at how his behavior has progressed over the past few weeks. He is getting worse, my suggestion to all of you, just ignore all of his posts. They will then go away.
