It's an allegation. You can't be charged for something he can't prove.

Your uncle should have been a man and handled the situation and questioned the damage, if any. These are times where you could stand up to situations and take accountability or explain yourself / actions, simply dismissing the event and waiting it out in the house shows... well nothing positive.

Regardless, the owner probably can’t prove provide proof of damage so things should work out in your favor.

Was it his property? I'd be pissed if someone did mud donuts in my yard.

lol it not a yard.... where we live, theres acres and land everywhere, and there was no private property sign anywhere, so we went in.. there was no houses nearby either.. but it was still his land

I know it wasn't a yard, I just meant in the loose sense. ("my property is my backyard")

Were you leaving from your uncle's place? If so, how could he not know that the land was private property? You said it was close-by.

Farmers don't put private property signs all over their land either. If it's somebody else's land, you have absolutely no right to hotrod around on the land. It would be no different than you doing donuts in your neighbors yard simply because you feel like it.

Or take any responsibility for your actions, I could sympathize with you if explained you did not know it was his property etc.

I am having a hard time understanding your reasoning for posting this and ending it with "lol", its obvious you may have done something wrong and found it funny to wait in your home until he left. Thanks for letting us know what type of person you are.

I don't even know where to start....

So you think it's OK to go on to destroy someone else's private property just because it looked like "no man's land?" You think that the property owner over reacted because a bunch of strangers went and destroyed his property and then refused to take responsibility for the damages? You say "lol" when it was you who was in the wrong?

My parents own a farm and we don't put up signs all around our property, but people around here have enough decency not to destroy random pieces of property just because they didn't think it belonged to someone. Believe me, around these parts you'd be lucky if the police did get involved. And you can be taken for more than just the actual damage to the property, it seems like punitives are in order here.
