Hi all, sorry if this kind of thread or question already done before, but after make some of research, actually there is no direct comparison between Melos, MAD, and Corda Cantate/Opera for the best amp drive Allesandro MS-Pro.

In every different thread i read, everybody say how good Melos or what a magic MAD have with Grado/Alessandro. But actually NO direct comparison between of them.

So..... if i have a chance to buy this quite decent home headamp, what should i choose? Because i don't have a chance to listen to them.

I will use that amp to drive my Alessandro MS-Pro, and maybe in a future some AKG's (considered but don't have much point in decision)

And i put Meier product as alternative if maybe this amp can have some magic / synergy with Alessandro and other brand of headphone.

Anybody can help?

thank's anyway........

Can't comment on the Melos, or the MS Pro for that matter, but one thing to consider is that if a mapletree fails for some reason, you can still get it serviced by the manufacturer, rather than having to do it yourself. The order queue at MAD is also pretty short right now

I'd be interested in a direct comparison between the two as well.

For me, after sales service maybe not really in consider because if my amp failed to work after years of using it, i will bring it to repair at my local audio service centre because from my point of view, no use to send it back consider to shipping fee.

I tried the Melos SHA-1 and MAD Ear+ with a MS-Pro at last Toronto meet and prefered the Melos SHA-1. The MAD Ear+ sounds thin compared to the Melos, more soundstage of the Melos and a little more detail.

I'd go with the Melos SHA-1 between those choices.
