I see in the MeizuMe forums that there have been problems with the M3 playing album tracks out of order (playing in alphabetical instead of by track number. Apparently it might have had something to do with embedded images.)

Can anyone confirm whether this is still an issue, or if it has been fixed in a firmware update (especially if using EAC to rip)?

I would hope it would have been fixed since that is a very serious issue (complete dealbreaker for me). This looks like a nice player otherwise. If this is not an issue I will probably get one.

I hope not but I'm about to find out. Can you send me a website link to the info so I can duplicate it when it arrives?

Thanks!

Can't you just rename the files like "trackName.mp3" would be "1 - trackName.mp3". Very easy to do if you have Mediamonkey.

Seems like the issue is not lack of a track number. Sounds like it might be caused by album art (or, the position of the album art in the tag). There's no way I'm editing every track in my computer. I have a feeling it might not be a widespread issue (or else more people would be complaining), but I need to verify before purchasing.

I have the M3. All of my ripping programs prepend track numbers to the actual file names during the rip. I use album art sometimes. No problems with proper order in playing tracks.
