Meizu M3 and hiss (esp. w/ JBL Ref 220 - 16 ohm, 94 db/mW)

I would really like to get an M3, but people have mentioned that there may be a hiss issue, especially with low impedance and/or high sensitivity phones. I have the JBLs and I'm thinking that with those specs there is a chance there will be hiss.

Has anyone tried an M3 with the JBLs?

If not, any thoughts on the likelihood that there would be hiss?

I think you can lessen the hiss by simply adding a volume attenuator. Emphasis on the I think part.

I'm thinking that this must affect the sound quality in some way though. ??

Plus, that's another thing I'd have to deal with and the whole point of getting this player is to have it be as unobtrusive as possible.

OK I feel a little better now - I found a post where someone said there was "minimal" hiss with EP-630s, and the specs I found for those indicated the same impedance (16 ohm) and higher sensitivity than the JBLs.

Still interested in any thoughts though.

I own both M6 and M3. I can say that the M3 is dead silent with my Mylar X3. It is only the M6 that has the hissing problems.
