Just checking the Meier audio site now the Meier Move shows "sold out" in large red letters. There have been some people saying that the Doctor himself saying that it will be discontinued soon, especially with the release of the Headsix where probably most of his resources are going. The Move is quite the bargain with the DAC, but was maybe just a stepping stone before the Headsix and not meant for long-term production. The USB DAC/Portable AMP market has also since become flooded with products, so attention to just a portable AMP isn't such a bad idea at the end of the day.

Well headsix is supposed to be a limited edition.

He probably stopped the production of the move to focus on the production of the 600 headsix and will resume with regular move production after he's done with the headsix's.

Everyone seems to have "killer" amps coming out. why aren't they killer right now?

My guess is that with all the bad feedback concerning the DAC section of the Move and the many upcoming new amps like the Pico or the Predator selling the Move must have become rather difficult. It does not mean that the new amps will be better but people are on aconstant lookout for something new and hot.
Lets see where this all ends!

Yes, this audio hobby has been interesting for the past 20 years (my length of time of heavily diving into it). I guess we need a reason to spend more money though those who wisely sell in order to finance the next purchase are about the smartest. I could use all of my hifi junk as ballast for a schooner.

He, the "Killer", does not want to be the first out in the field. The last one standing would be the true "Killer". The rest are "Killed".

The Move was AWESOME. Like said, the weak link was the DAC...but it was supposed to be an amp first, DAC second, and it achieved it....

What's funny is that nobody upgraded/tweaked it like people did the iBasso....

Well, the iBasso had the advantage of an optical in as well, really expanding its use.

But that's really it...it had an optical...that's just one extra feature. Still doesn't explain why people don't mod the crap out of the move just for craps and giggles...
