There's a noticeable difference when driving the A161 through my laptop compared with my iPhone. I've checked to make sure that I don't have any EQ filters on. Listening to the same songs in Amazon Cloud Player and iTunes on my laptop, and then through my iPhone, the latter definitely sounds slightly inferior. Is this a case of my laptop being able to drive the headphones better? Makes me wonder if the A161 needs an amp.
