People always ask me if I have (or will) build a META42. Niether.

This is the second in the Stompbox Series, 'MEATHEAD for two'.

'MEATHEAD for two' has bass boost and two output jacks. One is wired straight to the buffers, the other has a 100 ohm resistor in series giving this amp four tonal voices in one box.

Inside is an AD823 driving a pair of EL2002's with an EL2001+TLE2426 combo providing the virtual ground. In short, it's everything a META42 is except small - less than 2.5 square inches of board real estate. Small board = small traces = no noise.

The power supply is a bit of a rats nest but what the hell...

You can find out more about 'MEATHEAD for two' (and a whole lot more) by visiting my website, Noise-O-Rama. I'll be putting up more stuff in the next few weeks so visit early and visit often.

enjoy,

Pretty cool as usual, Erix- typically mega-durable. I like the paint and graphics too, especially the wedding text 'for two'

.

What pot is that in there?

Thanks for sharing the nice pics as well!

PPL said you had posted this man. The color is top notch and the FAT switch is tough. I went to the site and really wanted a close up of the custom painted target reticle box. You got one?

Peace,

Uh, reticle? This one?

This box was painted by Tom Pollock who builds guitar effects for Dream Theater and others. Tom is a twisted genius. His site is www.troubledvariance.com

I wish I took a picture of it completed - maybe we can talk Highwaystar into it!

Already have Stompbox #3 on the boards - CheaP-P-A.
Stay tuned...

ok,

Thats the one. It looks like a targeting reticle on a HUD or antiair gun. Very cool. A big red dooms day booooom (boost) button on top with a lift up plexi glass cover would be sweet. Call it the defcon 1. See what ya did...now I'm all inspired. You artist types always do that to me. You kick serious ass erix.

Peace,
B_D
