So you need an adapter because you currently can not connect your MDR-1AM2 to a Schiit Magni headphone amplifier?

It appears the MDR-1AM2 will work with a 3.5mm TRS plug to 3.5mm TRS plug cable.

No, came with the standard one with a mic as well.

A 3.5mm (female) to 1/4 (male) adapter might work with the mic cable, for use with the Magni.

Then no need for anything else unless it didn’t come with a 3.5 to 6.35 adapter as well as those are much cheaper and won’t be any difference in sound and just bypass the mic so nothing to worry about there. The balanced cable is made from the same wire as the other one that came with it I’m sure so it is not going to sound any different .
