Hello,

Trying to get digital out from the MB. The board is a TUF B360-PLUS GAMING and it has a 4-1 pin SPDIF_OUT.

There seem to be some adapters and high-definition front panel audio modules, but does not seem to be a lot of products for this setup.

Something like this would work?
https://www.amazon.com/SPDIF-Optical-Plate-Bracket-Gigabyte/dp/B07FJMD7BF

Other suggestions?

Those look like they will do the job.

How will it show up?
In the Sound panel in Control Panel?

In the Playback tab, something like "Realtek Digital Output".
There should also be a setting like "Digital Pass-thru", which bypasses the sound card functions.

I would like to use two outputs on the system.
A digital out from the MB. Probably Optical.
And the analog from the Xonar DGX. The Xonar has a TOSLINK but it also has jitters.

The digital would be connected to the DAC. The DAC is battery powered and I don't want to use it when browsing or doing things that don't require a DAC audio quality.

I already have a analog switch that would allow to select the source.

From Windows the card can be selected for each application. The audio card for the browser would be the Xonar, and for the rest the DAC.

Is this possible?
