Hey guys,

I finally had some time to build my Millet Hybrid Max but on the instructions on the website for the construction of it states to match the HFE of the transistors. I realized that my multimeter can't measure HFEs...

How important is it to do this? Does it make a huge difference?

Also, if it is, can anyone point to good way to do this by using a standard multimeter?

Thanks!

Matching is certainly needed to get the best sound/performance, especially on the CCS sections regulating the tubes.

If you run into issues not being able to match these (I didn't look at NavyBlue's link yet), I know that you can buy matched sets of transistors from beezar for two or three bucks.
