Massdrop SMSL T1 DAC/Tube Amp

Interesting item here. AKM 4490 DAC. The specs on the amp output seem really low, though.

Yes, and inexpensive as well ($299). The manufactures' website shows the circuit board layout and it looks very clean.

TBH this looks like a nice upgrade for those who enjoyed the Aune T1. I may find myself checking this one out soon.

Yeah... my curiosity on it comes from my love for the Aune T1, which also gives me lots of tubes to try.

It is unclear if this new device is tube DAC or tube amp with regular dac built in...can't find a definitive answer.

I bought a normal SMSL T1 (not Massdrop). Sounds great! It's a tube preamplifier with build in dac. Going to replace the chinese tube for a amperex ecc88/6dj8. I hope the sound will get even better.
