For you folks who have placed orders with markertek, how long did it take from the time you placed the order until you received the goods?

Just curious. I placed an order for the Markertek Mini and I would like to know when I might expect it.

Thanks.

If you went standard UPS Ground, figure on about a week or so from the time they ship.

Thanks, JMT.

I guess what I'm asking, though is not the UPS or USPS priotity times, but rather Markertek's average time from the order placement to shipping the prouduct(s).

That I am not sure of as they don't send out shipping notices like Digikey and Mouser does. I ordered some parts on 11/30, and received the order confirmation. I had asked for 2nd Day Air shipping so......I'll let you know.

Thanks, again, JMT.

Guess I'll just have to wait and see as well. I ordered a specific-colored Mini that has to come from NY instead of Vegas, so I'll wait and see how long it takes for them to make and ship the cable.

I ordered from them on 12/02 in the afternoon. I din't even see any options for shipping. In fact I didn't even see any costs for shipping. I have no idea what this is going to cost me.

Okay. I placed my order with Markertek for a gray Mini to Mini cable on December 2nd at around 6PM MST.

I asked for USPS Priority shipping. Cable arrived this afternoon in the mail. Not too bad--basically a one week turnaround (at least for USPS Priority shipping) on the order.

The cable looks very very nice, BTW. Love the Canare F12 connector. Will have a Tangent-built META42 hopefully by the end of the week to evaluate the cable with my D-25S and D-555 (Thanks Purk).

My order from 02 December arrived via UPS today, 10 December. I did not ask for priority shipping and frankly I have no idea what shipping they used other than I got a card receipt in the mail that showed almost $10 for shipping. These Switchcraft right angle mini plugs are gettin' expensive.

I don't really like to make orders like this where the company doesn't tell what the shipping charges are until after they sent the stuff out.

I just received my package of right angle mini plugs from Markertek today as well. I ordered 10, I received 5.

They charged me for 10. Second time this has happened. Oh well, another call to them tomorrow.

I agree, based on what I paid plus shipping, versus what I received, I paid about $12.00 per plug.

I didn't like that either. Didn't mention a shipping price on either the order confirmation or the receipt. I normally like to get a total BEFORE i place the order with an online business. I guess I've been spoiled (email confirmation of order, email notice of shipment including tracking numbers, etc.) by places like NEWEGG when ordering stuff online.

I did have a good idea that USPS Priority Mail for one cable would be $3.85 which it was.

Good lord! So you're saying that each plug is 5-6 dollars?

Why are they so expensive?

Hey andrzejpw;
Here is what I got charged for switchcraft right angle stereo miniplug 35HDRANN, $4.99 each I ordered 4 of these and 4 bannana plugs and the shipping was $9.63.

I don't know why they cost so much. They are very well built and also very large. They are made in such a way that they are very easy to solder. But they are huge! The hole for the cable is also huge. My CAT5 cable fits in there with room to spare.
