Oh I forgot to add: when Im messing about with the settings on my previous response, when I pause a song in Spotify and unpause (say after 3-5 seconds)... the audio doesnt work again and I have to mess with the Mac sound in the screenshot 🤷‍♂️

I guess the bright side is that I can reproduce this 100%

Ok, I'm done messing with this combination (macbook + android phone) today. I think this may have to do with an android and macOS multipoint thing -- maybe?

I removed the macbook in the equation and added an android tablet. That has zero issues and multipoint works 100% of the time: going back and forth on apps with minimal delay on the switching. Moral of story, stick to android only or macOS/IOS for the 5909s?! 😂

Just want to update everyone on my BT issue in case someone runs across it: I found another macbook (Air M2) to connect the 5909s with and do not have this issue. The only one having the issue is a Macbook Pro 16 2021. I was also able to reproduce the issue on my MW75 so there is definitely something going on with my 16 or some random BT problem on this model.

Mighty fine sounding HP's, much better than the Amirons I had for the past 3 years but definitely MF/HF oriented.
Does anyone know if it's possible get more than 16/48 out of it in Windows 11? On my Galaxy S22U I get 24/48.

from Qobuz sounds amazing on the 5909.

Holy crap. I just listened to Hotel California remastered edition on Qobuz on the 5909s and it was amazing. The instrument separation is just amazing. This thing took me back 25 years when I heard that song on my grandparent's epic speakers. Amazing pair of headphones.

I had this sort of moment listening to Fuel to Fire by Agnes Obel. Sealed the deal for me.

Sad too because I had gotten the PX8s to try for much cheaper (558 USD total!)

Will check this afternoon how to do this for windows... But on your Galaxy S22U you should be getting 24/96. That's the result when putting a query to the internal DAC over the USB cable. The UAPP screenshot proves it. There you see a 24/192 file being played at the 5909's maximum resolution 24/96 :)

(I would recommend UAPP as a must-buy anyway. It allows bitperfect signals to USB DACs bypassing all Android limitations)

In Windows 11 the maximum resolution is immediately (& properly) identified ... You should be fine there.

Somebody posting a link for this video in the Focal Bathys thread. I think this link must be here too:

Great find.. I personally find the difference to be slightly smaller than 'in a different universe' 😉 but would nonetheless agree in terms of preferring the Levinsons to the Bathys... But to each his own right? For now I have no intention of parting with the Levs.. (But with the T&A Solitaire T just around the corner I definitely remain forever curious to what will be the next level in wireless audiophile land 😎🔥)

Strange, I only get 16/48 in Roon at best in Windows 11 on my 5909 and 24/48 on Android in Roon.
Must be a configuration issue somewhere.. The device readout result is clear:

AUDIO, subclass = AUDIOSTREAMING, protocol = 0, descr =
: link = 1, delay(f) = 0, PCM, type = 1, ch = 2, subframesize = 3, reso = 24
96000, 48000, 44100, 32000, 22050, 16000, 8000 (fixed)

Reading through this blog, some are thinking these are ML first headphones.
Can't think of it that way, they are part on the Harman group, that includes AKG cans JBL, so huge experience in headphone development. I think these are the natural upgrades to the N90Q's.
I'll pick these up eventually, having blown my 2022 budget, Aww, who's kidding who, I blew past my budget in May. 😂

you probably need to use the ANC On adaptive to get the 30Hrs. i used mine on a very long plane ride the entire time and still had 50% left so although i haven't timed it, i fee like its close to 30hrs
