Males/Females on Head-fi

I hear there are more women than men playing games but I have my doubts about this, they could be talking about farmville for all we know with these stupid studies.
 
When I look at E Sports I only see Men so it doesn't add up to these so called surveys/
 
I would be willing to guess maybe 10% of women are into serious audiophile here.

Jvc's have a certain charm and wearing those in public would definately be a convertisation starter But I wasn't serious, those look crazy when worn.  And I did NOT get into headphones to impress the ladies. And the floats I mentioned:

Another fun one to take in public would be XB1000, with the gigantic, tire sized ear-pads.
 
I enjoyed owning them simply to look at those insane pads. They were hilarious.

And for those saying that gender doesn't matter when it comes to sound quality, yeah, no crap.  The real question is regarding why men are more inclined to focus on higher quality sound.  I think it has to do with evolving to be alert to noises for survival.  Similarly, you won't find us on a makeup forum having in-depth discussions about the intricacies of makeup application and colors.  But why not?  Well, I think women evolved to find ways to be more attractive.  If they are more attractive, they get more male attention which equals more physical security/safety/whatever.  If they have protection, their babies have protection and the species continues to survive.  Bigger and better anything is just an extension of all this need for survival.
 
TL;DR: Men are more "look at THIS".  Women are more "look at them" while shaking their heads.
