I'm not sure what should it be called. Where do I get plugs like these?

Yes, I am trying to make my own Etymotic Research P to S converter, and would like to do without a cable between male and female mini plug if possible.

Then buy the one from ebay. I bought one from the seller and it did great work. Very small footprint and durable.

If you want to make stuff like this, chances are that you will need some SMD resistors and a small jack. Go find the jacks for cell fone and they may fit the entry hole of Neutrik plugs.

I was thinking of bigger plugs like the Switchcraft if I need to fit a plug in another plug. Or a mini plug tip and a 1/4" plug barrel that happen to fit together.

But still, they must have gotten the plug from somewhere, or at least mix and match the plug parts somehow.
