What's the best way to make component video cables?

I have Canare Starquad cable, would I need to terminate them with a resistor?

I am intending this component cable to be used with HD digital video.

Get Canare 75 ohm video cable and some terminators. Markertek is the cheapest on this stuff, aside from one other place I can't recall. Be sure to check the Canare site and get the ends that match the cable size.

Take a look at EnjoyTheMusic.com here.

for the Max Rochlin memorial video cables. I built a set of these, and they were less than half the price of the Monster dreck they were trying to sell me, and seem to perform quite well, although I am not doing HDTV yet. The Canare RCAs are the only purported 75 ohm connectors out there that I know of.... if you were really serious, I would modify the equipment to use BNCs and be done with it, as RCAs are... ermmm, crap. I went the crap route tho... hehe. You can get all the stuff at Pacific Radio (they sell the Belden by the foot). Markertek sells the Canare, but not sure on the Belden. Canare even has silicone color-coded booties for the RCAs.

I don't think I'll be modding the RCA jacks on my Samsung HLN467 during it's warranty period.

Yikes, the cost of the crimping tool and dies really kills the deal.

Is there no way to make a 75 Ohm connector with any connector?

I have a couple of Neutrik Profi's.

I didn't buy the crimping tool... just crimped them with needlenose pliers and a couple of standard crimpers (as in non-exotic)... worked fine.
