You think makes a sense buy a high end headphone when the recordings of your cd collection are bad ??

Yes, especially if you plan on finding some better recordings or you want to clearly detect the flaws in those bad recordings.  Are you going to be pushing your hi-fi headphones to their limits?  Probably not, but upgrading can sure open some seriously groovy doors in regards to fine music.

It depends on the headphone. there are High end headphones which are very accurate, at the point that you can hear all the flaws on the recordings. 
While another headphones tend to be more forgiving with poorly mastered recordings and/or crappy sources.

I prefer to use "polite" headphones when I listen to the likes of punk and poorly recorded music. HD595 does the job well.
