Hi all, the modmins said to post here first, so here goes. TIA for any help!

I have a Sony Gold wireless headset that I really enjoy, due to the ease of use between the PS4 and the PC (just plug the dongle in), the features, battery life, everything is great. Except the build quality. Despite treating it very gently, I've already had to repair the hinges with epoxy, and the entire band now has cracks running through it. Looks like it's going to break soon in one of a dozen places, the plastic is just brittle and weak as hell. If I were to buy another set, based on the many reports of the same thing happening to others, I have no doubt a replacement set wouldn't last long either.

So I'd like to take the earphones and connecting wires off of this headband/frame entirely, and put them on another one that will last a while. Maybe replace the battery while I have it apart. I'm having trouble finding just a blank headband, though. I'm looking for something really comfortable, and really sturdy . . . leather and metal, preferably.

Would you guys know where to find something like that?

Yup I had one years ago, same story....horrid build quality.

You can try posting in the FSS/T section of this site, but I think you need to have a certain amount of time as a member and post count before you can post there.

If youre in a hurry you can try buying an inexpensive headphone and gutting it...but your better off just getting a real headphone for gaming and calling it a day.
