And it's a biggie...

My cat things it's tasty. This is *NOT* a good thing with a $100 cable!

Any ideas? If I had to choose between the Clou or the cat, the Clou would go!

Of *ALL* the things for her to chew on she has to choose the $100 cable!!

BTW, no real damage has been done yet.

Tobasco comes in a nice matching red, leave that on for a few days and see if your cat still finds the cable a tasty toy. (Don't try this if you have a Chiuaua.)

How about just leaving it & the headphones in a drawer or something when not in use?

The problem with this is she is a *very* strange cat. I'm afraid she might actually *like* it!! So, how are the dielectric properties of tobasco?

I'll test this out and give it a try.

Currently I am just putting the headphones away when not in use but I'm afraid that I'll forget one time and wake up to find my $100 cable in little pieces everywhere.

Nezer, pet stores often carry a spray-on product that cats don't like -- it's designed to keep them from scratching furniture, but it's quite possible it will keep them from chewing cables, as well (actually, I think I'll try this myself, since I've already had to replace a set of Ety cables and a couple KSC-35s over the years

I just worry she'll like the stuff.... She is a *very* strange cat.

My parents had a cat once that used to eat the plants (imagine that). So, they bought a pepper plant to teach it a lesson. That little SOB *loved* the peppers!!! Now, mind you, these were too hot for even me so that cat was either crazy or was just torturing us. I think both.

I'll try that spray-on stuff and hope it doesnt make the cable all sticky. If it does maybe I'll buy some techflex and coat the cable *under* the sleeving so I don't have to deal with a sticky cable.

At least the Koss are cheap enough that replacing them isn't really a big deal. If the cat would chew up the standard cable I would see that as an opprotunity to upgrade but I don't think there is an upgrade from the Clou Red.

Yes do check, often the cat-avoid products are citrus oil based, which might effect the plastic coating of the cable. THiss approach might be better that tabasco thought, which can be a skin irritant.

I dunno, do the pink ones sound better?

ROTFL, you don't own a cat do ya? She isn't gonna get locked out of *anywhere* in this place.

It's not a bad idea except it's the main living area where I listen and I cant get her out of here easily nor would I really want to, she's 99.99% good but that .001% can be really agravating.
