Hello,

I'm about to get one (porta corda ii) and want a psu for it. I've read that it comes with the power plug adaptor.

Can anyone point me in a direction where I can find out more about 'building' or putting together a psu for the amp? In other words, how do i connect the adaptor to the psu, and where can I find the psu that's compatible with the porta corda's specs???

thanks!

I suspect there'll be a rash of threads on this (and related) subject(s) very soon, given the number of Head-Fi'ers getting PCII's.

Any good quality open frame linear 24V PSU will do. You can fit it into a suitable enclosure thus:

The one I have and will be using with the PC MKll is the Calex 3200 series model number 32024A http://www.calex.co.uk/32000%20AN1.pdf

My PCII has arrived so I'll dish out the details when I've opend the package tonight.

The voltage range, amps needed are in the manual but I've not yet found out the actual size of the tip. It's been said to be a 1.3mm one which sounds like it could be tricky - we'll see if I can do it anyone can.
