This is the price we've paid for removing the headphone jack

Thats why I moved to bluetooth BTr5 for walking.

I don't doubt that the megalomaniacs in board meetings at Apple HQ have probably discussed how they can make even their bluetooth connection proprietary.

Anything to screw customers even further into buying into their ecosystem. Make the most of open-standard bluetooth connectivity while you can, folks...

It was interesting to watch how many Apple diehards rushed to defend their Big Tech demigod when accusations were flying about why the headphone jack had been removed from the iPhone product line. Stockholm syndrome, anyone...?

MagClip is an interesting product - is the iPhone considered immune to the influence of very close proximity magnetic fields, then? I hope so - it's a nice solution to using a dongle with an iPhone, for decent SQ on the go.

"cut your dongle....." don't like the sound of it. How about "don't let your dongle dangle".

I have multiple dongles and use them at home or in the hotel room when traveling, but I hardly ever use them on the go or even on an airplane, because sound quality matters very little when external noises cancel out the details. You really can't have good sound quality unless you're in a very quiet environment. This is also true at home with your hi-fi. Even if my airconditioning is on, it greatly diminishes the fidelity. Yes, you can compensate with loud volume, but then you're just doing damage to your eardrums. That's why when I'm on the go I use my AirPods Pro 2, which I'm always surprised at how amazing they sound. Not only that, they're light as a feather and of course NO WIRES! I can never go back to wires sticking out of my pockets and tangling with things. The idea of fiddling around with a dongle with an attachment on my phone and wires now seems utterly ridiculous and also very geeky looking tbh.

Any clue when this might come to FiiO's US Amazon store? Have been hunting down something like this and it seems like this might be the most affordable one that isn't just repurposing some cheap magsafe wallet
