macbook pro retina 2010 to magni uber to HD600

what do you guys think of this setup , tell me what you think because i'm about to order the HD600 and magni 2 uber with 2 rca cables from SCHIIT , then i'll use a 3.5 mm to RCA cable to Magni 2 , then HD600 ! made a whole lot of research and the HD600 seem to be the best fit for my musical taste (jazz , classical , fusion etc..) !

hmmm...set-up looks good on paper,but the HD600 has a quite intimate sound stage,and while I never listen to classical,it seems to me you'd want something with a wider sound stage.

I have looked at a lot models ! the AKG Q701 has a wider sound stage but adds some color ! to be honest , during my research i wished i to find something "better" because i didn't like the design of the HD600 , i realy wanted to avoid it , but everything points to HD600 when neutrality and jazz are mentioned ! 
I'm still open to suggestions as i still haven't ordered ! if i can find something great for cheaper would be nice !

I've heard that the HD 598's have great soundstage but not so great detail. Maybe the HD599's have extra detail and good soundstage as well? Anyone try these? Edit: they also don't *require* amplification but nothing saying they couldn't benefit.

For a Given budget, the Magni/HD600 seems like a good choice.
Any chance you would up your budget for a tube amp?

I'm not sure how the "quality" cables are better then budget cables,
the quality cables at least do look better.

What are the "2 RCA cables from SCHIIT" for when you're going to hook up the Magni to the Macbook with a 3.5mm to RCA cable?

Except for the 75ohm cables the Monoprice cables are more flexible. Schiit plugs are heavier also, but the Monoprice plugs slot in more easily when you plug them in.
