As I already have a rather descent desktop PC, I am intrested in getting a Powerbook. I just have one simple question and I shant ask anymore.

Is there any difference, besides size, between the 15" and 17" Powerbook?

What I mean is, are all of the features on the 17" avalible on the 15"?

No, there are several differences. You may want to check the Apple site and compare the datasheets. Start here.

Also you may find this interesting.

Take the leap. Only been an OSX user for about 10 months (from many years in Windows world) but very happy with the switch.

I've been a happy user of a 15" powerbook for the last year or two... I also use a PC as my desktop. (I find that recently I've been using the powerbook MUCH MUCH more - despite the fact that the PC is a dual-LCD (one's 17") Athlon 1400 with 512Mb RAM).

The 15" is a perfect laptop for both home and portable use. If you want a desktop-grade computer that you can take with you everywhere, that's the 15". If you decide to go with the 15", wait a few weeks as Apple's probably going to come out with a new one in the next week or two. Then the current model will be considerably cheaper used, or you can get the new improved model

The 17" is considerably larger; I would think of it more as an expensive desktop that you can easily take to LAN parties

I wouldn't want to carry it around with me every day to school, for example.
The 17" is of course faster and has the cool light-up keyboard, in addition to a few other things.

There are significant differences between the current 15" and 17" models. The 17" model is the latest version; the 15" is the previous generation. Apple has been holding off releasing an updated 15" until the current 15" models are gone.

The 17" model is an awesome laptop, but it's huge -- it's really a transportable desktop machine

If you want something more portable, I'd wait for the updated 15" version (which should be out within the next month). I'm also hoping Apple updates the 12"PBG4 so that it's more of a true PBG4 rather than an upgraded iBook.
