Anyone here use the "Sound Enhancer" feature in itunes? What exactly does it do? I have tried it with my Senn HD497s off my headphone out of my ibook. It seems to widen the soundstage but it also seems to make the treble a little fatiguing in the long run.

Those are my thoughts too. It seems to widen soundstage but doesn't always sound good. Some songs I've found it definitely improves.

Often I find myself just wanting to not bother.

Talk about "post from the dead".

I have that feature on but I don't know what it does. I keep the slider towards the low end.

I don't use the equalizer but I do use the Sound Check option.
