Looking to order an m-audio revolution online, the store in question was out of stock. I sent an email inquiring as to when they would be restocked, and I received the following response:

"The card has been discontinued at this time, its replacement should be on
the way in about 2 weeks."

The "replacement" might just be a revision, but it sounds more like a completely different card. At the same time you'd think there would have been a press release if this were the case.
Anyone know anything about this?

Interesting. I'm wondering if it could be the one to work with DVD-Audio.

If it is, I'm in!

Although has anyone tried running one aside a Audigy Platinum ex?

Better yet, connected to a Soyo Dragon+ motherboard running Win XP Pro?

I haven't seen any news on the issue. It's kinda strange. I still think that if m-audio were to introduce a new card, they would've already released a press note.
What I suspect is that the stock of cards ran out and they needed to produce more. Perhaps the delay is caused by the "international delay on electronic devices". Has anyone else noticed this? Cellphones, hard drives, video cards. Delays supreme.
Anyway, that's just my theory, I have nothing to back it up.

My guess is that they uesd the wrong word for "out of stock" as well... Chances are someone on this board would have heard about any discontinuation by now...
