Hey all,

Im using my new M-Audio 5.1 together with my 0404 & Yamaha receiver + HD650's etc.

Very nice sounding card and much better gaming support than the EM-U

Few random problems...

I can use Kernal streaming just fine, it works perfectly, but when I use ASIO it will not output via the SPDIF only via analog. While on the other hand kernal streaming works on both, id like to use ASIO so I still here windows sounds etc.

When I turn the lights on and off/other components and or anything electrical it interrupts my signal for a split second. I haven't had this on any other soundcards of mine but I recently changed the COAX cable ive been using as well. How would I groud the system better or stop this interference.

Also, would one the APC Line regulators make my audio components sound better as it would provide cleaner power? as I want one for good surge protection for PC etc, but if it gives my CDP and Amp an edge that would be a bonus. Link: http://www.apcc.com/resource/include...se_sku=LE1200I

I've always wondered this as well. APC includes "Sine-wave filter" (or something thereabouts) as a feature, citing that it filters the electricity into a smooth current. Would this help with the sound? And the computer performance in general?
