I am contemplating purchasing the M-Audio Microtrack II for use as both a portable recorder and music player. There is plenty of information available about it recording quality but virtually no info on how it performs as a music player. Can the M-Audio be used as a player? If so, how is its SQ? Also, will its user interface allow it to be used in this way? I must say, I like the fact it has RCA jacks. I'd appreciate comments from those familiar with this device. Thanks HF-ers>

The recording quality is great and the playback is just as good. The interface is terrible though for use as a DAP. No playlists, funny menu navigation, etc. The battery life is also terrible, I have to plug it in to an outlet always.
