I have had the M-audio 7.1 revolution card for several years now, I've never had a problem with it--until now. The M-audio revolution control panel has inexplicably ceased working...I've reinstalled it three times now and I get the same result. I tried it in a different computer and it worked for 4 days and then developed the same thing.

When I click on the M-audio tray icon it lags for several seconds and then pops up as a permanently minimized window. This makes it impossible to change any settings--I can't even change it to digital out.

I have recently been experimenting with asio and kernel streaming plugins for foobar, which would make the M-audio control panel temporarily inaccessible. Could this have caused this?

Anyone else experience this or have a solution for me?
Thanks for any help

Check the Windows registry for bad values. For the Revolution 5.1 this can be found at [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\M Audio\RevolutionPnl]. You can probably delete all this and reinstall.

Another option is to use the M-Audio Delta control panel. Once the Revo driver is installed, you can install and use the driver for Audiophile 2496 or 192. I think they are the same (Delta_WDM_5.10.00.5057v3.exe).
