LZ A7 IEM's impressions and reviews thread

The A7 is still impressing me. I’m liking the red filter now, not for its tamer upper midrange, but actually for more treble that’s better extended. I think I would fully satisfied with just the A7 and the NM2+. The A7 sounds remarkably natural to me, which is amazing for this type of tribrid.

Glad to hear it, since that is my intended setup (other than the T2+ to sleep with). Sadly for me, DHL received my A7 package at the local hub last Friday, but then handed it off to USPS who proceeded to send it in precisely the wrong direction after which point it vanished. Sigh. First world problems.

Wha?! Why would DHL hand it off to USPS? That stinks, sorry.

I live in the boonies... when our local business opened a DHL account to ship international orders, the DHL driver for our area literally quit over it lol.

Its the CEMA Electro Acousti CS Series UP-OCC Copper litz 8 core cable.

Also known as Cable 171 on the Hakuzen list.
Thanks, looks beautiful. Some mention their cables have a peculiar odor (? kerosine) in reviews. Have you found that to be true?

Nice man! These are getting more and more interesting to me, and I am about to pull the trigger. From all I have read, the Red filters seem like they would be it for me, but we shall see.

red, gold and black all have their moments in the sun.
then you have consider pop vs monitor. For red pop is probably the choice you will like. For gold and black you might like monitor more.
so many options, so much fun
Just when I think I’ve settled for a certain combination, I get the urge to try something else, and then I think I like that combo best. Truthfully, I wish I could combine the upper mids of the gold with the treble of the red.

If you want, I can mod the BGVP gold filter to my specs, channel match them and send to you at cost.

Upper mids are like somewhere between the black and gold filters and I love it.

Is postage as crazy expensive going from Canada to US as it is from US to Canada?
The good news I suppose is that the filters could probably go in a first class envelope.

I shipped some IEMs to Canada once and it was something like $20 US.

Anyway I am interested!
