These fit the A4 great, but don't sit comfortably in my ear. Really stiff.

I use my trusted ROCK Zircon large tips with the A4 (and many other IEMs). I'd be totally lost without them. Here's a pic showing a size comparison with a regular "Large" tip (left) and Large Zircon (right):

The stock cable seems decent, but I am wondering if any of you have upgraded your cables? If so, did it make much of a difference for you? I am thinking about getting new cables for them.

Hi, I ordered this with remote and mic expecting delivery this week and will share my impressions once I tested it.

Eartips:
I find the LZ A4 as already stated by other members very tip sensitive. This is the first time my big stock of different tips types did not provide the right choice for me so I had to order replacement tips.

Ergonomics:
small tips means deeper insertion into my ears, results in little pain due to the sharp edges of the LZ. I do not have this issue with bigger tip sizes. But my tip choice which provides the best overall sound to me is smaller sized

Sad day in the household. I let my wife listen to my A2 Pro limited edition IEMs and she liked them. In fact she really liked them and now they belong to her and I don't think I'm getting them back. The saddest part is that "the Apple ones sound better, but I like these cause they don't stand out with the white cables."

I am rethinking my marriage.

-Collin-

Whatever you do don't let her try your A4 if you have it...

Oh my Collin. That's blasphemy. LOL
That's your wife's way of saying I really like these a lot more but I can't admit it because it might then justify all those purchases you make for great audio products.
There I translated things for you and save your marriage

I agree on the issues with the tips. The smaller tip allows a deeper insertion which can be more uncomfortable. That is why I prefer for my ears a M/Lsize spiral dot or large size spinfit. I don't have to create as deep and insertion but I get excellent single and the sound with both of these to my ears is excellent

If you can get access to either of those tips that may help. The spiral that has a wider bore than the spinfit(you need cp100 to fit A4) but both tips really bring out nice quality sound on the A4

That's my opinion and two cents for whatever it's worth

Well, I already tried spinfits in two sizes I usually wear. Both, fit and sound quality (or better said tonality or frequency emphasizes) are unfortunately not proper for my ears and taste.
All my hopes are now on the spiral dots and other cheaper wider bored tips which are in delivery.

Spiral dots are in my opinion one of the most comfortable large bore silicon tips. The silicone is a very high-quality And they do create a nice fit and isolation with the A4.
I'm sorry the spin fits don't work well that's a bummer.
I'm always amazed at how little things create such big differences, such as Ear Tips. Clearly they are not one-size-fits-all. I know I've spent about $30 on here tips lately

That's true. Tips shape, -size, -silicone hardness, -bore diameter...each criteria stand alone is able to change a lot to the sound. Already spend 45€ in tips since received the LZ A4. LOL and crying the same time by reading this sum, now.

P.S. Fortunately our household is save as my girlfriend has the addiction to handbags

On the topic of tips, to that someone who was asking about the JVC Spiral dots vs KZ whirlwind wide bore tips, the SDs open up the sound and make the A4 (Bk/Bk) sound slightly brighter and expand the soundstage.

The Whirlwind tips don't sound quite as open but it's like they sweeten the middle and upper mids abit. Also aren't quite as splashy as the SDs.

I think I'll leave the KZ's on for a few days.

Source is Fiio X3ii coax out to Xduoo XD-05 (with Burson V5i, more on that soon in the Xd-05 thread)

Try the KZ Acoustics eartips these tips have a long neck that means you will be get your desired deep insertion and your ears will be saved from the sharp edges of the shells the bore of tips is not too wide or not too narrow ,
these tips works absolutely perfect for me ,

Many thanks for that hint. Actually, I already bought this model (still in delivery for this week) but I wasn't aware of this feature which is quite interesting.
