Does anybody have any suggestions on how to do this, or whether it is just a terrible idea (I know there are some impedence issues?) I thought about doing it for my Millett, although I think it may draw too much current for most rectifier tubes. Instead, I thought it might be a good addition to a NOS-DAC. Anywhere between 15 and 30V would be useful for me as a starting point.

Anyhow, I put what would be the beginning in the attached pic. I am looking for some information on how to go about choosing choke and cap values (and perhaps on what rectifier tube to use?) My sense is to use the schematic below as a start and then to use a LM317 or something similar to regulate things. Thoughts?
