I'm looking for some low cost earbuds. Funding is about $30 tops. These would be used for casual listening on the go. Cost is very important here, so even though nothing may be super stellar in this price range, I'm just looking for the best in class performance. If anything, non-muffledness is the most important aspect. Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

Yea, kamal007 is correct in that I'm not looking for IEMs. I still want to be able to hear the environment around me, so I'm not looking for isolating earbuds/IEMs. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Well, aside from PK3 (which is really the only good choice near that price range as far as earbuds go) the only real choice in earbuds would be the Senn MX500 AFAIK.

another vote for the yuin pk3. Its sound is quite similar to the ksc75 in an earbud form factor. Last I checked they run about $39 at head-direct. I picked up a pair off a group buy that I believe has already ended for $25. I'll tell you that these are well worth the $39 that they are sold at.

Hmm, looks like those PK3s are the thing to get. I don't see them for sale anywhere though. Where could I find one?

I highly recommend the AKG K312p, but I don't have that much experience with other more expensive earbuds. At $13 online price, it's hard to go wrong with these. They are probably not the best in class but huge bang for the buck. Very clear, detailed, with the killer AKG mids.
