Where's a good place to look for personally affordable one-off enclosures to your own specs? I deal quite frequently on a professional level with a company in the UK specialising in custom machined pieces but their rates aren't very realistic for hobby justification, and on asking recently they very diplomatically told me more or less that I don't put enough business their way for a favour
I'm looking to re-house one of my amps to visually match my system better, and also as I was figuring out just how to rip out the built-in head unit of my car I came to the conclusion that with things like boost gauges stuck on with duct tape, I'll probably need to do something about the displays and dials screwed, glued and taped around my dashboard... like grouping them sensibly in a nice pod (or pods) to sit in an orderly manner around the dash.
Design and sending the files is not usually an issue, but an option for the company to be able to start from a drawing would be nice too. I presume I'm going to get more bang for my buck in the US... or is there a better place?
