Got 150 or so LP's from an uncle. Looks like quite a mix of genres most are in good condition. Looking for recommendation on a budget <$200 new or vintage turntable. What should i look for in a turntable? Already ordered a rolls phono preamp. Was at ttvj looking at the grado green and black cartridges is the black worth the extra $20?

Here is a list I made of low budget vintage starter turntables. The equivalent new ones start at 350-500+USD so used is the way to go on your budget as you'll also need a phono stage (pre-amp) and most likely a new cart as well.

Buy the deck first though as there are compatibility issues with some carts. Eg the Grado's are not shielded well so will not suit every TT.

Vintage is the way to go for the best bang for the buck. But make sure you know about the condition of the unit you are buying and have someone who knows turntables who can fix it (NOT the local TV/digital electronic repairman).

Old Thorens(belt) or Technics(direct) are good values.
