I'm currently on a laptop. I use headphone most of the time, but sometimes I just wanna lay down watching movies or listening to music without the headphone hurting my head.

My budget is only < $100 ($50 range would be good). I'm just a college student and  I don't want to spend too much money on something I don't use often, but I don't want to buy a bad cheap speakers either

I'm not a bass head at all. I mainly listen to metal, I like the clear sound of drums and guitars.

Any help would be appreciated!

Check the website Techbargins for good deals.

Maybe try M-Audio AV40's. They're around $100 I believe.
