Does a set of cans exist that are similar in signature but have a detachable cord?

You could get the headphone modded to a shorter and/or detachable cable.

Love the work i've seen from PETEREK, and if your looking for a detachable cable mod he's a great option if you don't have the skills yourself. If all you need is a shorter cable though. why not just shorten the cable and reterminate? By the parts on line and any electronics store should be able to handle the job if you want. Shortened mine to 5' and put a female 1/4" plug on the excess for extension if needed.

The mods are a option. However, to answer your question Fostex makes the th-610 that has a detachable cable.
