Not too bright. Efficient enough to be driven well by an iPod. Less than $200 would be nice. Any recommendations?

I'm afraid they will cost a little more (ca. USD 300 or so), but I suspect you may like the Audio Technica ATH-A900X. If budget is a major constraint, perhaps the Fischer FA-003s (or equivalents).
