Lotoo Paw 6000 (2019)

Hi there,

Does someone own the Paw6000 and the Dethonray DTR1? If so, is it worth the "upgrade", knowing the power of the DTR1, but the lack of PEQ?

My Paw 6000 is arriving in a few days. I can tell you a comparison of Dtr1 and N6ii. Dtr1 sounds no less in quality than N6II, but brighter than N6II. So when I had to let go my N6II, I did not miss it much. Dtr1 is one solid dap when it comes to pure sound quality. Will Paw 6000 be an upgrade in sound quality compared to Dtr1? Well, I sincerely hope yes, but I am not sure Paw 6000 can beat Dtr1 sq by a great margin.

Hi, what do u think about LotooPaw 6000 comparatively to Sony NW-WM1A? Because its the same price

I have both but only got the Paw 6000 yesterday, my Sony is also K modded. At this point in time I can hear the bass on the 6000 hits a little harder and the sound is a little cleaner, more transparent. The Paw is also a little smoother. Both great players depending on what kind of signature you're looking for.

It makes me wonder what the Touch sounds like now though, and may well keep an eye out on the classifieds if someone puts theirs up for sale. @davidmolliere, looking forward to hearing more impressions regarding the Touch :)

I sure will share!

Yeah the PAW6000 is so good that you want more of the same :p
Also a choice to cocentrate all the budget in one DAP instead of N6ii + LP6K, end the quest for the ultimate DAP

It's a tricky question because here the sound quality comparison will heavily depend on the pair up. For higher end hybrid and multi-BA iems and more sensitive earphones dtr1 is an overkill and I prefer LP6k. For more demanding higher impedance cans, planar magnetic, and some single DD iems dtr1 works better.

In terms of user interface, config flexibility and all the available features, LP6k is light years ahead of dtr1. Personally, I really like dtr1, but would look at it as a complement to LP6k rather than a substitute or upgrade. As far as an overall comparison, it's really apples to oranges.

I also considered jumping to LPGT but I could not bring myself to change my Paw 6000 to LPGT,for me the difference is not so significant between them and the difference in price is just significant. In General, LPGT sounds a bit more Mature, but I liked the vocals more on Paw 6000 for example,it is more expressive. As a result, I withdrew my Paw 6000 from sale.

Well I got my PAW 6K in today and loving it except on 3.5 output right channel there is a high pitched sound, feedback I believe. No problems on 4.4. Tried different iems with different cable and same thing. I should exchange, correct?

That's not normal. Where did you buy your LP6k from?

Anyone compare Lotoo Paw 6000 with A&K SE100 or SP-1000M?

I compared,Futura I did not like, the sound is light and lightweight, but the SP1000M in my opinion is not a bad player, the Paw 6000 has a more neutral sound, the middle is a little clearer and the SP1000M treble is more sparkling and the bass is more massive. It all depends on your preferences,I thought that the SP1000M is not worth the overpayment

So the LGPT is in town and I have done some A/B with the PAW6000...

I know most impressions out there say that's the LP6K is close to the LPGT, but while the tuning of the LP6K is very close to the LPGT to me there is a significant gap in SQ without XRC and with XRC it's even bigger.

First and obvious the headroom is very apparent and both macro and micro dynamics do gain a lot, resolution is higher, authority is greater in the bass department and there is just this ability to convey extra nuances that is a pure delight.

This being said this is mostly standing out with TOTL IEMs and doing critical listening, the LP6K is excellent, the difference to me is like 8K and 4K TV... do I need 8K TV? No but I can certainly appreciate the difference. Some might find it overkill, especially given the price gap the value for money is insane on LP6K.
