I downloaded both beatallica albums, they're in flac format (and legal). You have to get them through bittorrent though, but it's no big deal.

It's not free, but they do offer downloads in a large variety of formats, including FLAC.

I'd recommend Usenet newsgroups, and the groups:

alt.binaries.sounds.lossless.soundtracks

there's also allofmp3.com. They got some of the albums in lossless. The price is 0,01$ for formats other then lossless per mb and 0,02$ per mb for lossless. It's legal in Russia and supposely they pay the artists.
