First off, sorry if there's already a thread on this, I did a search and waded through a few, but only found a couple for universals.

Basically, the socket on one of my custom IEMs is loose, as in it's become too loose for the cable. I tried a new cable (same make/model) and it's just as bad.
(Even worse, because it's loose and because I tried to bend the pins a bit to keep them one of the pins on the first cable broke today).

Is there a solution, besides glue?
The problem with glue is that it's permanent and removing it can be messy - and cables don't last forever.

I'm asking for a general solution because I can't be doing with sending the customs away - they're actually the only pair of headphones I currently have and I can't afford any others that would tolerable (I'm sure you know what I mean).

Thanks

Dude, I know it's not what you want to hear, but the problem is clearly in the earpiece socket and will almost certainly require factory repair. Now you've broken a a cable pin as well? Not good.

Maybe someone here has a suggestion, but all I can come up with is to contact the manufacturer and see what they have to say.

Good luck.

How did you break the cable pin? The ones on my ES cable is quite difficult to break and although easy to bend difficult to actually break off.

If you have a loose socket then your only real option is to contact whoever did your customs and ask them if they can repair it either for free if within warranty period assuming it is covered or at a price.

Thanks guys.

I bent the pins slightly in the hope that the pressure would meana tighter fit, stupid I know, but I was on the go...

Sending them to the manufacturer will take too long, but I'll contact them to see if they'll agree to do it when I can let them ago, if that happens to fall after the warranty period ends.
