A day after iPod releases their 20GB and 40GB revisions of the iPod, Rio finally releases the 20GB version of the Karma. At least, according to Amazon.com (not the most reliable source out there).

Seems to be selling well so far - according to sales ranks, it's outselling both the 10GB and 30GB iPods.

Link to the Product Description.

Has anyone actually seen this in person or at the stores?

J&R still has it on "available soon" status on the web site. Looks like I'll be hovering around the phone near 9 a.m. to make that call.....

Now the question, do I really have the spare cash to spend, or am I going to have to persuade myself into buying it with alot of smooth talk and hollow justifications ?

Was over at J&R today, after having picked up some free speaker stands for my Energy C-3's from Blind Tiger (Thank you man...they are great...and match the color of my speakers perfectly !), and I just want to say this: Why does J&R hire 75 year old men to do a job which is obviously best suited for guys more my age and younger ?

I asked grandpa, "Have the RIo Karmas' come in yet?"
Grandpa: "The Riawhachama what ?"
ME: " RIO KARMA"
Grandpa: " Don't know what that is"
Me: " Yeah, ok...guess not then"

These moth eaten suits wouldn't know an Mp3 file from a nail file...I just don't see why they dont employ young people who love technological wonders. So no...they don't have it yet. Oh well, back to playing Raven Shield.

Now now sonny boy. Play your cards right and you may be lucky to end up being 75 trying to earn a living selling to whippersnappers instead of retiring.

Did you go to the area in the balcony level (in the computer world building) that is dedicated to mp3 and other digital audio players? They usually have a couple of younger guys working there who know their stuff.

Don't go to the portable elctronics area (on the main floor in the audio department)...that is where the old farts are!
