What if I ran optical out from my Dish Network 722 receiver to something like a iBasso D10 and used headphones. I currently run headphones from the RCA output of the 722 to a Sennheiser volume attenuator and it sounds okay (it's TV).
How much of an improvement do you think I could get using the D10 or similar (I want portable to use with the laptop as well)?

Have you thought of getting the Sennheiser DSP and an HD580/600?

Did not know about this, and looks fun but I need something I can also use with my laptop when I travel (for music) that has usb input and portable.
