HI all,
 
Love this site, dont know where to start, or how much to spend.
 
I have always loved my music but, i'm not an audiophile, just someone looking to improve on my knowledge and listening quality. 
 
I'm listening with Grado Rs1i's  and a littledot 3 amp (upgraded tubes) running from pc through a Rega DAC.
 
I am happy to purchase my gear second hand if possible, Can anyone suggest a DAC that's superior to the REGA as I believe the usb inputs arnt the best. i'm new to this and would appreciate all the help I can get.

I am not familiar with the Rega, but what makes you think there is something wrong with the USB?

I don't think there is anything wrong with them other than the sample rate being low.

It is only too low if you plan on buying higher sampling rate music.

i'm using tidal at the moment. at that's got a higher rate. I also find that when I use the denon cd player through the dac on an optical cable, the sound is far superior. Sorry for the grammar, had a few beers. Im also aware that the windows laptop isn't ideal and I plan to move to a Mac in the near future.
