If you need a portable at a good price, look no further than the Hotaudio Thunderbolt Max. I've been putting this thing through its paces and it kicks all kinds of 4ss. No battery, but if AC is okay it's highly recommended.

the hot audio doesnt have much about it, as far as reviews.

I just gave you one: it kicks #ss.

But it's pretty new, so that's why no reviews. Plus it's not "flashy" like pico, RSA, etc. But make no mistake: it kicks 4ss. With grados and metal? This thing will blow your doors off.

Portable = take it with you. Or do you mean mobile? i.e., needs a battery?

There's nothing wrong with how it looks, it's a standard metal enclosure. Sound quality is top notch. The TPA6120a2 is highly regarded as one of the best sounding audio ICs ever made. But yeah, if you need a battery this isn't going to do it. Try for a used pico maybe.

review wise the t3 is favored.

would like some more opinions on which of the 4 to buy.

i hear the t3 is tiny which is a plus.
